JEWELRY CLEANING TIPS

The first rule in keeping your jewelry in good shape is to keep it dry. Silver and many other metals will turn dark if exposed to moisture. I have a couple of wonderful tips for you to help you keep your jewelry looking like new. Tip number one is very simple. Just keep your jewelry in zip lock bags or in any other air tight space. This prevents the oxidation which can turn metals dark. My second tip is this: If you have jewelry that has begun to turn dark from oxidation simply take an old toothbrush and tooth paste and gently clean away the dark areas. Wipe off excess toothpaste making sure your jewelry is very dry. Your metals and glass beads will shine like you just purchased them!

Warning: Never use toothpaste on pearls.
